The government that is trying to hire is from the federal government, and there are a number of different elements that need to be included in order to meet the hiring requirements. Using this format will save you time in the future, as well as make the resume read a lot more professional. Do not use all caps. You should not leave out your full name when applying for any position, and you should ensure that you h ave included all necessary information.Place your state and postal code. This should include the city, town and state where you live. The abbreviation for your state is for example, AK is for Alaska, WA is for Washington, AZ is for Arizona, NE is for Nebraska, etc.For each agency that you are applying for, you should include the department as well as the address, phone number and e-mail address. However, the department should not be included if it is a regional area. This can be included in your cover letter or email.For the national level positions such as those that deal with Criminal Justice, you should check if this is the department that you would like to work in. If so, you should also check the details for Human Resources, Labor, and Health and Human Services.Do not forget to mention if you would like to continue education after working in the various agencies. This will give you an added advantage, as you will be more likely to be hired if you can further your education. Rem ember, the Government is interested in people who are good in problem solving and are willing to work with others.You should keep a high GPA on your resume, but it does not mean that you need to attend a local community college. The best thing that you can do is to get a part time job, and include a note with the employer that you have done this. Be sure to state the beginning and ending dates of your employment as well.
